1/28/2017 2 Comments January 28th, 2017 On January 20, 2017 Donald Trump gave his inauguration speech. In his speech, he put America citizens as being unified by saying We will. His slogan “We will make America Great Again” implies that he will let the voices of American citizens be heard. Some people were angry that he got elected as president, others were joyful. Trump’s speech is effective because he does uses ethos, logos, but overpowers with pathos. Some of Trump’s supporters are not supporting him because of what he said in his speech. He arranges his ideas by importance. He addresses the ideas per the American people. Some of the ideas were stopping gang violence, increasing employment, and Trump’s intended audience are the citizens of America. The tone of his speech is sincere and serious. He used the appeal of fear. He uses the appeals of fear by mentioning the borders. He repeats the words your and our to imply that we should work as a team but one struggle is all our struggles. He repeats the word dream to show how he “will make America Great Again”. Donald Trump's credentials does not put him as being a good president. He has no political experience. He is the owner of several businesses.
